Brendan Murphy Bio

Brendan Murphy

Brendan is a PhD student in the Department of Bioengineering. He completed his undergraduate studies at Arizona State University, earning his Bachelor’s of Science in Physics in May 2017.

He is interested in the development and fabrication of high-density micro-scale electrode arrays for interfacing with the central nervous system; his main research focus is in understanding the origins and dynamics of major neurodegenerative disorders such as epilepsy and Parkinson’s disease.

In his free time, Brendan enjoys playing his violin, going on bike rides in the greater Philadelphia area, and reading.
